How long have you played our Server?
I joined the forum early june but im pretty sure i started playing in May.

How often are you online?
Im on for about 6+ hours during the week and 10+ hours for weekends.

Why do you want to be a GM?
I want to be able to protect the server from hackers (i havent actually seen many) and i would like to help the server get more custom files to help make it an even more entertaining game.

How you can benefit our Server?
With how often im online i can protect the server from hackers and i think that im getting pretty good at .Wz editing.
Also i have a fast computer so i can get files from other Maplestorys (like JMS) for .Wz editing.

Can you do any special things(if so, try to provide a snippet of your work)?

GM is a game master. They catch hackers and such.
Developer is a coder. They gets the GM powers in game, but their priority is in writing scripts rather than helping players in game or catching hackers.
WZ editor does WZ edits. They get GM powers in game, but their priority is in WZ editing. They do not get access to the source.
GFX is kinda an outcast. They don't get GM powers rite away. They don't get access to the source. However, GFXers tend to have an advantage as WZ editors too.

Even though these sections are separate, it doesn't ean you can't be more than one of them. Hell, you could be all 4 for all I care.

The most you could get easily enough would be GM, GFX, and WZ.

Developers and GFX are the ones that require the most skill.


Also, I know you have never run a server like this one, so you have no idea how much easier it is for me to have different staff positions.

So do you think i should be here or in the Wz editor section?

Yea i must agree with Basti on this one. the Wz. editor spot is the better location for this, being as the majority of this app is about wz. editing. Good luck either way.

Yeah, Dar. As it stands now, I think you and Nick are the main non-GM editors right now, and most suitable for the "job", though I have a biased standpoint right now. I mean, you guys are friends of mine, and I haven't seen anyone else's work. Basically, I compare your edits to mine, which makes you look godly.

The point is, you can get started instantly and get good results. But that means there's more people who can do it and more people to compete with. For this reason, a good GFXer does not mean someone who can create good effects or UI- It means someone who can create excellent effect and UI, and whos work stands out in the midst of peoples' mediocre attempts at photoshop.

It doesn't take skill to get started. But it takes skill to get better.

It seemed like a contradiction to me, but now I get it. You meant that if you have the talent, you can get a good product, and that it isn't hard to get started, but improving is.

@Isaac this is kinda a post saying can i help with editing stuff in to V16 cause me making some simple edit for someone else seems kind of pointless, also this isnt a post saying "Ill help now give me GM powers" as cool as it would be if i was getting to be a GM i think i would be fine if i helped with V16 and wasnt a GM, so if its possible can you give me some kind of job to do even if its something simple like adding some equips or something i would be happy to do it.
